You know, sudocrem is a miracle cream! Her legs are virtually perfect again, she's also get an almost rash on her chest that has cleared up after putting sudocrem on it. She's got a few what look like sores from where her old collar has rubbed, I'm going to put some sudocrem on those too and see if they clear up. It's a pain to try and get it onto her, she's not keen on having it rubbed into her legs, but she'll quite happily lay on her back whilst I 'massage' her chest with the stuff.
Best thing is, when I get sunburnt again, we'll have sudocrem in the house for Molly, which I'll end up borrowing! How much cod liver oil are you giving her? You need to introduce it really slowly and only a tiny amount is needed - only 1 or 2ml a day for a Chihuahua puppy I'd imagine, if that. Posted May 22, Hi everyone I have a problem with my puppy, she has like I would describe as eczema in the groin of her legs, can anyone please give me anymore ideas on what I can use or do before I take her back to the vets.
This is what I have done already:- Antibiotics from the vets - this did nothing for her Giving evening primrose only shampooing her with an antibacterial shampoo - not on a regular basis I have just changed her food - from today This problem started a couple of weeks ago, and last week it had just about cleared up, but the other day she started nibbling and scratching herself again and now she is sore again.

There are several different species of schistosomes that can cause swimmer's itch in people in the United States. They all normally parasitize infect animals other than humans, especially dogs and waterfowl, like ducks and geese.

While ringworm is not fatal, it is an uncomfortable condition that can cause your dog to lose its fur and may infect you as well. Puppies and senior dogs are the most seriously affected age groups. The main cause of swimmer's itch is much of the same as in humans. If your dog swims or wades in shallow water that is infested with parasites, your dog could be at risk for contracting swimmer's itch.
In some cases, drying the dog off immediately after swimming can help clear the parasites away from your dog's skin. Often called Scabies, Mange is caused by a tiny mite that burrows deeply into the skin creating severe itching and irritation.
Secondary infections are common for infected dogs and it is not only contagious between dogs, but also can infest humans. Once the collar is off her, she typically does not itch there. You can see she scratches at the collar a lot. Can dogs be allergic to these kinds of materials? The collar is like a fake leather with little metal studs. Some dogs experience significant weight loss, bloody diarrhea, or failure to grow properly with hookworm infection.
